I operate with these dogs and as far as animal behavior goes, I am a solid believer in nurture and exercising. I’ve met Jack Russell Terriers that I would not go near again, but have by no means had a negative practical knowledge with an American Staffordshire Terrier. If you’re talking about their owners- well, which is a different story. People are animals as well, and we have a tendency to every have our very own strategies about “moral concepts”.

Excellent article! So many people are unaware of the effects that chocolate can have on a dog. In case anyone is reading this because they are worried about how much chocolate their dog ate, there is a good calculator on this website that tells you the toxic dose of chocolate for a dog.

When I read Rocket’s story at his website I couldn’t believe he survived…my dog Bo endured the same type of starvation and was also nearly dead when found…but he survived with lots of love & food. He has since departed this world. I so believe education begins with the children on how to properly care for a pet & whether or not you are ready for a pet and what type of pet. This is an area I want to focus on in the near future.

hey gang… the FDA just recalled some fish… only for the color additive and another small thing.. BUT…. are these companys going to sell it to a pet food company for pennys on the dollar and put it in our pet foods ??
what happened to all of that 80 Million pounds of Buffalo meat and beef that was found a month ago in a warehouse that was closed by its owner out west ? do you think these people just bury this stuff ? NOPE… they sell it to someone , who will sell it to someone and then that someone will sell it to a company that makes pet food.. and its mixed with sawdust or whatever to make MEAT MEAL or BEEF or BUFFALO BY-Product.. and then sold as a cheap pet food.. and of course you get all the magets and eggs that were left in there when they found the moldy meat..
